A Beautiful Election Day!

I hope all of you did your civic duty and voted in this hisoric election. One way or the other, it will be historic.

It's beautiful here in Chicago and my kids and I visited the Chicago Botanic Garden to take in fall's lovely foliage. It was so pretty and we all had a good time and a great picnic! I was really hoping to get the kids' Christmas picture taken there, but no luck. Getting the kids to sit together for a couple of seconds AND to look at me AND smile is no small feat!

It's a Girl!

A puppy girl, that is! In early October we brought home the newest edition to our family-Abby! She is an adorable Labradoodle and was part of the family right away. Abby is growing fast and working on potty training (like our children--that's another story). She is becoming quite good at fetching things and is about as playful as any dog could be. I'm sure there will be more about our little fur ball!
